Chopper Spins Wildly into Palm Fronds at Popular Southern California Beach
A helicopter hovering near a popular California coastline unexpectedly started spinning uncontrollably, finally dropping height and crashing into a line of palm fronds as onlookers watched.
Footage uploaded on the internet capture the helicopter beginning to twirl over the shoreline then falling towards the border of the coast, where it gets stuck among palm groves and a staircase close to the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Details
Emergency responders stated five individuals were taken to hospital including two who were in the chopper and were “rescued from the debris” following the crash on the weekend.
Three individuals on the pavement were hurt. Details on their injuries were still under review.
